Inn at Whitewell wedding

Autumnal Inn at Whitewell Wedding

As soon as those trees start turning colours, I know it’s time for autumn wedding season. I get all the heart eyes just thinking about the rich colours over the next couple of months. That’s exactly how I felt when I spoke to Scott & Katie about their Autumnal Inn at Whitewell wedding. I came recommended to them by my old University friend, Chris, who was their best man. Their intimate wedding would be held at the Inn at Whitewell in Clitheroe, with 30 of their closest family and friends. I was delighted I’d be working with Gemma from Bluebells and Daisies again who is an absolute saint when it comes to styling and flowers.

Beautiful autumnal wedding decor

Katie was so calm when I met her on the morning of her wedding. Sarah Elisabeth was on hand for her hair and makeup but most importantly had the pleasure of getting Katie into her beautiful Pronovias dress. Gemma the florist greeted us with her wedding bouquet which had a mixture of roses, woodland berries and thistles. Absolutely stunning!
A long table was set up in the Orangery, with crates of rich flowers, figs and tall candles for their evening meal. Everything matched beautifully with the blue table runner and gold detailing.

Natural Lancashire portraits

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of drinks and acoustic music from Edgar James as they got cosy near the fire. I whisked Katie and Scott up on the hill for some fun portraits, who weren’t bothered in the slightest of the cold temperates. They couldn’t stop beaming now they were married and we soon warmed up back at the venue.

It was lovely photographing all the close relationships of their family members and laughing as everyone sang and danced into the night. Before I left, there was one photo that Katie and Scott didn’t want to miss.. the sparklers! We headed outside and got some beautiful images with their guests.

Who said it was all about summer weddings ay?? This one was a cracker and I hope to be photographing another Inn at Whitewell wedding again soon!
