Holmes Mill Wedding Photography
Well what can I say? I was pretty stoked when wedding photographer Matt and his girlfriend Karly asked me to photograph their Holmes Mill wedding this year. I couldn’t wait to return to this amazing industrial venue and photograph this special pair get married.
The day started with Karly and her bridesmaids getting ready with the help of makeup artist Jodie A Smith as the boys enjoyed a few tipples of Irish whiskey. Matt even surprised Karly with a personalised video of photos and clips from their relationship, which was brilliant to watch and had all of us in tears.

At the venue, The Rose Boutique did a fantastic job in making the ceremony room look breathtaking. Decorated with giant floral hoops and a freestanding copper backdrop covered in flowers, glassed candles and antlers. Karly entered the room all smiles with her Dad by her side. She’d chosen to wear a simple but elegant full length LuLu Brown’s dress with jewelled belt and looked absolutely perfect holding her colourful bouquet.
The engine room became their drinks reception, as guests enjoyed local beers from Wiley Fox listening to relaxed tunes from acoustic singer Alex Birtwell. I loved wandering round the room as their magician Carl Royle entertained the guests with his close-up magic and captured some brilliant reactions. As the room was getting prepared for speeches, it was a great opportunity to sneak Karly and Matt away for some photos on the top of Clitheroe Castle.. what amazing views we had!

Wedding band, The Watch made sure everyone partied into the early hours which may have included a photo booth prop or two 😉 Such a brilliant day working alongside Satin Pictures who made their incredible film. These guys absolutely smashed it.. what an amazing pair to spend the day with. Here are some of my best bits..
