Oakwell Hall Wedding Photography
It was great to be back in Yorkshire for Jordan and Jacob’s Oakwell Hall wedding in the summer. Having just booked the wedding 6 months in advance, you could tell these two were super chilled about their plans and wanted to keep it as relaxed as possible.
They’d planned their ceremony in the Elizabethan manor house of Oakwell Hall and the reception in the barn next door. It was the perfect place for a DIY wedding and had so much space to host their celebrations. The venue is situated on the grounds of a country park, a place that the couple love visiting with their dog and held lots of memories.

The gents looked so smart in their matching suits and ties. They even customised their shoes with the wedding date engraved on the side.
After the ceremony, guests filled out into the gardens for drinks and live music from Michael. I took the couple away for some portraits including a spot under an apple tree.
The barn was filled full of colour from the meters of bunting hanging below the beams and a huge cake table full of homemade treats. They’d also hired a rustic cocktail bar to make sure guests were always topped up!

One of my favourite memories of the day was the huge game of rounders in the field behind the barn. Guests kicked off their shoes and joined in, including me at one point! Darwin, their adorable Beagle also made an appearance, weaving in between the kids playing games and guests tucking into the cake.
I had an incredible day with these two and their families, such a relaxed fun-filled day. Just what they’d hoped for!
