Colourful Village Hall Wedding Cheshire
When Steph & Stephen first got in touch about their colourful village hall wedding, it sounded right up my street! Fun, outdoorsy with plenty of dancing. After a church ceremony, they planned a reception at the Bowdon Rooms, a beautiful village hall in Cheshire.
I first met the couple after photographing Ste’s ushers wedding the previous year. They had a great group of mates who love a good party, so the vibe of their wedding was really important.

Their reception was super relaxed with outdoor drinks, hay bales as seats and various garden games to keep guests entertained. Even the late September weather didn’t disappoint, with gorgeous sunshine and blue skies, which meant everyone could enjoy an afternoon of drinking in the sun. The giant Jenga game was a huge hit and caused plenty of laughs!
One of my favourite parts of the day was the portraits. It was a great opportunity for the couple to have some time alone, sharing a giggle as they practiced their first dance in the street!

I loved Steph & Ste’s boho/ rustic style. Steph wearing an off the shoulder lace Enzoani dress paired with customised “Mrs M” shoes and flowers in her hair. Stephen looked amazing in his brown tweed suit and brogues.
Their evening kicked off with some old school indie covers from The String Beans Band where the real partying began making some amazing photos as everyone danced the night away.
Here’s what Steph & Ste had to say about their photos:
“You’ve captured everything perfectly.. I welled up looking at them!”
