Marquee Garden Wedding – Lancashire Wedding Photographer
Relaxed marquee garden wedding in Lancashire – Sam & Callum.
The English weather certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to photograph Sam & Callum’s marquee garden wedding. Set in their hometown of Ormskirk in Lancashire, they got married at the Holy Trinity Church in Bickerstaffe, with a marquee reception in the garden of Callum’s parent’s house.
The morning preparations were well underway when I arrived to Sam and her bridesmaids. It was such a relaxed morning, with some of girls enjoying breakfast in the sunshine whilst Sam had her makeup done. I adored Sam’s Maggie Sottero lace dress, paired with some Rachel Simpson shoes, sourced from Fur Coat No Knickers. I think her Dad’s reaction summed up how stunning she looked!
With a quick shot of Jack Daniel’s, Sam and her Dad set off in style in a super cute vintage Morris Minor whilst Callum and the boys were waiting at the church. After the ceremony, the couple stepped outside the church to find a large group of children cheering. Students from the local school that Sam works had surprised her which was amazing to see!
At their garden reception, they had decorated the marquee with jars of summer flowers from Flower Farm, handmade bunting and fan wedding favours. With the couple soon arriving, guests lined up ready to shower them with confetti before sitting down to a meal of fish and chips- yum! Even the speeches were brilliant; including a couple of magic tricks from Sam’s Dad, one perfectly timed phone call and a slideshow of embarrassing photos from Callum’s early years which caused plenty of belly laughs.
Before the partying kicked off and the wedding band began, we headed out into the cornfields for some fun shots with the ushers and bridesmaids, just when the light was beautiful and golden. It was great timing for some personal shots of Sam & Callum and they looked stunning as the sun came down.
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for this marquee garden wedding… enjoy the photos 🙂
