1940s Vintage Manchester Wedding
A stylish Manchester Town Hall Wedding
Maxine & John’s vintage wedding was full of 1940’s style and was so much fun to be part of. The day began at the couple’s beautiful terraced home in Sale as Maxine and the girls got ready for the day ahead. Maxine wore the most exquisite long sleeved 1940s silk dress from Abigail’s Vintage Bridal. She looked beautiful and completed her look with a simple vintage headband and snakeskin patterned heels. After a round of champagne and well wishes, Maxine and the girls were escorted to the ceremony, one of our favourite venues in the city, Manchester Town Hall. They arrived in style in a beautiful white vintage Bentley with the hustle and bustle of the city around them. Their late afternoon ceremony was perfect, full of their closest friends and family, surrounding the beautiful decor of the Town Hall.
1940s inspired Vintage Manchester Wedding
After the ceremony, we couldn’t resist taking the couple away for some photos around the Town Hall. This venue is a real gem of Manchester, with magnificent tiled floors featuring the Manchester Bee and rooms full of historic paintings. After the photos, we headed to their reception at Stock Italia, the original Stock Exchange for the city. After sitting down to a beautiful five course meal, guests enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing to the sounds of Chic and Motown which tied well into their vintage theme. What an amazing wedding this was to be part of!
