Didsbury Park Engagement Shoot
Didsbury Park Engagement Shoot
Having first met Lorna & Gareth during a vintage wedding fair in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, we were really excited to take them on a little adventure for their pre-wedding photos. On a beautiful sunny autumn day, we headed to the Botanical Gardens in Didsbury which is such a wonderful place to visit. The gardens are always well maintained with rare plants and plenty of wildlife on show. It was the perfect location for an autumnal engagement shoot for the couple as the gardens were full of colour.
Perfect autumnal setting for photos
We took various photographs around the park and loved that the sunshine kept making an appearance through the trees.
It was also a great opportunity to get to know more about them as a couple and to hear all the plans for their wedding next year. Lorna explained she had been utilising her craft skills, with the help of local seamstress Ellie Magpie, for some decorative butting. They had planned to get married at her childhood village church, which held a lot of memories and chose Soughton Hall for their reception, a historic country house set in the Welsh countryside. They were planning to make a lot of the decoration themselves including a DIY photo-booth that would include props and a polaroid camera for guests to use. Also hiring a live band for the evening partying.
It was so lovely spending the afternoon with Lorna & Gareth. They are the sweetest couple to hang out with! We can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year at the beautiful Soughton Hall in North Wales. It’s going to be amazing!
