East Bridgford Hill Wedding
There are some venues that I get a little overly excited to shoot and Jen & James’s East Bridgford Hill wedding was definitely one of them! The stately home advertises itself as the perfect setting for a festival style wedding with it’s own secret gardens and woodland.
Woodland themed wedding in Nottingham
Whilst Swallows & Damsons were busy styling the staircase with the most beautiful flowers and woodland ornaments, I began my morning with the girls getting ready. Jenny greeted her Dad with a huge hug when he saw her in her dress for the first time. She looked absolutely stunning in her Mirror Mirror dress and Rachel Simpson shoes.
Sunshine streamed through the windows of the ceremony room of East Bridgford Hill as everyone watched Jen & James exchange their vows. I particularly loved capturing the moment between James and his mum who looked so proud of him. Happy tears are the best!
After a round of speeches, the woodland started to take shape for the evening partying; decorated with twinkling lights and a wooden bar full of midnight snacks and beers. It was the perfect time for me to whisk the couple off for some portraits in the evening sun. They couldn’t wait for some time away and wanted to make the most of the venue’s private gardens that featured an old greenhouse with sunflowers.
In the woodland, guests were handed out glow sticks as their band, Rogue Angels were eagerly awaiting to start the party. Everyone danced well into the early hours and I left just as some of the guests were toasting marshmallows on the open fire. What an incredible way to end their day!
