A Vintage Tea Party Wedding – Sugar Junction Manchester
Quirky, fun and alternative weddings are my absolute favourite! So when the day arrived to photograph Hannah and Daniel’s vintage tea party wedding in Manchester we were beaming with excitement and couldn’t wait to join in the fun. The couple got married at Manchester Town Hall and headed to a reception at Northern Quarter’s Sugar Junction. It was such a perfect day!
Manchester Town Hall wedding ceremony
Hannah wore a beautiful Charlotte Balbier tea length dress, turquoise Karen Millen shoes and a brooch bouquet, hand made by her mum. Bethany made sure her make up was perfect, with vibrant red lips to match her vintage look.
After a few Starbucks’ coffees, Daniel and the ushers headed to the Town Hall to greet the rest of the guests and family members. They all looked amazing in their grey suits and matching blue ties. The ceremony was beautiful and we loved sneaking the couple off for some photos around the Town Hall whilst guests made their way to the reception.

We couldn’t believe our luck when we found that an old school funfair had set up outside the town hall entrance. It was great fun capturing shots of the couple on the carousel and helter-skelter whilst a huge crowd gathered to take pictures of them too!
At their tea party reception, the venue was styled with patterned napkins, jars of coloured flowers and an amazing wedding cake by Francesca of Cheshire Cat Cake Company. Guests sat down for an afternoon of tea drinking and tucked into an arrangement of cakes and sandwiches. For their evening reception we headed to the Northern, the pub next door for fun in the photo booth and late night dancing.. including a reenactment of Gangnam Style 😀
