Manchester Art Gallery Wedding

It was cracking flags through the bustling city for Cate & Jim’s Manchester Art Gallery Wedding. What every Manc loves to see over the usual rainy weekends!

Their wedding was a mix of 70s boho, romantic woodland and city centre chic. It reminded me of a Lana Del Ray video, the most laid back stylish affair. Where else to host a city centre wedding than Manchester’s iconic Art Gallery, a building that has stood in the city for almost 200 years. It was my first time photographing a wedding at this venue but hopefully won’t be my last!

70’s Style wedding dress

Cate chose a stylish 70’s style satin dress with beautiful floating sleeves and open back, whilst Jim wore a classic black suit and western bolo tie. I just loved their alternative stye. Ditsy & Daisy brought their woodland theme to life filling the room with jars of vibrant flowers and moss as the centrepieces. Decor that still showed off the gallery room and surrounding paintings.

Manchester wedding portraits

During the drinks reception, the couple took some time alone for some portraits outside the Art Gallery and naturally were welcomed with smiles from nearby onlookers. There is nothing like that city centre light!

Check out some of my favourite frames from their stunning day..
