Rivington Engagement Photography
I’m very lucky that I have Rivington on my doorstep, especially during a lockdown. From the reservoir, visiting the chinese gardens, to hiking Rivington Pike; it’s long walks meant I had somewhere to escape. In fact it was my only opportunity to see other people, which is not something you’d normally say outside of a pandemic. I’d look forward to the cheerful hello and huge grins when I’d pass others on my walk. I struck up conversations with strangers. They would pet Gatsby (my friend’s pug I’d borrowed during lockdown) and we’d share the new places we’d explored around Rivington.
Relaxed couple portraits
I’d found so many amazing spots for engagement photography. So when the lockdown restrictions relaxed and Sally & Matt wanted to book in their pre-wedding shoot, Rivington was the go-to location. They were due to be married at Rivington Hall Barn, so it was the perfect location to practice. These two were just adorable. We chatted about their wedding plans, their love of music festivals and of course dogs.
Rivington Hall Barn Wedding
I’ll be photographing their mini lockdown wedding next month and bigger celebration next year, which I’m SO excited about. It’s not what we imagined happening but after their engagement shoot, this was proof that a pandemic won’t get in the way.. love will still be celebrated.
