Spring Cottage Wedding Rivington Lancashire
I always feel extremely lucky to be invited to so many alternative weddings around the UK and Katie & Phil’s Spring Cottage wedding was one I was super excited about. They got married at St Paul’s Church in Bolton, followed by a reception in Rivington at a quaint Cottage with a marquee.
Colourful details for a boho bride
The day began at Katie’s morning. As the girls took turns in hair and makeup, I began photographing all the details including the incredible bouquets from Flowersmiths and personalised wedding invitations. You could immediately see the running floral theme and I couldn’t wait to see how their reception was set out.
With their Vintage Wedding bus waiting outside, the bridesmaids helped Katie into her Charlie Brear dress. I love that Katie had contrasted her look wearing blue suede heels and a colourful flower crown. She was the perfect boho bride!
Phil, the groom was waiting at the church wearing the most incredible green suit from Asos and a red polkadot bow tie, so dapper!
Outdoor Spring Cottage Wedding in Lancashire
After their ceremony, guests cheered the couple from the church and made their way to Spring Cottage in Rivington. The grounds were full of personal touches, with wooden logs, coloured streamers, and even a personalised “Party with the Whittakers” band stand. I loved capturing the relaxed feel of the day, with guests enjoying drinks outside under the canopy and the children playing garden games on the lawn.
Inside the marquee, tables were decorated beautifully with vibrant country flowers, a hooped rainbow hanging, giant love balloons and a scrummy tiered naked cake.
It was such an incredible day to be part of and I loved hanging out with Katie & Phil for their personal photos walking around the secluded woodland. Their day ended with guests lighting sparklers as they partied outside to dance floor fillers from their wedding band.
Here are some of my favourites from this beautiful wedding! I hope you enjoy them 🙂
